By the end of this month, New Zealand will officially end greyhound racing for good. Meanwhile, Wales, Scotland, and the USA are making rapid moves to phase out this cruel industry - and Tasmania has a ban on the way.
Yet right here in Queensland, these gentle sentient beings are still paying the ultimate price for gambling profits.
Despite over $39 million of taxpayer money poured into the new facility "The Q", greyhounds are still suffering catastrophic on-track injuries and dying.
This industry treats these beautiful dogs as disposable commodities and fuels a harmful gambling cycle that hurts human beings and families across our communities.
The world is moving forward. It’s time for Queensland to get on board.

Bring your greyhounds! Let’s fill the lawn with the beautiful dogs* we are fighting to protect.*We are asking that people please only bring greyhounds and no other dog breeds to the event.
Together, we are calling for:
- An absolute end to greyhound racing in QLD.
- A fully funded plan to re-home all racing dogs into safe, loving homes.
- The transformation of racing tracks into beautiful public greenspaces and sports fields.
- Just transition support for industry workers.
Animals are not sporting props, and their lives are worth more than a bet. Let's make our voices heard. See you there!
