Greg Dillon is proud to be running as your candidate for the Senate in the upcoming Federal Election.
Gregory Dillon is a strong advocate for the protection of animals, nature and the planet and is proud to represent the Animal Justice Party in the upcoming state election.
Gregory majored in genetics whilst gaining a Bachelor in Science, but once he became aware of the cruelty to animals during research projects, he made the decision to withdraw from furthering his education in this area.
Gregory has since become a staunch advocate against animal experimentation.
“I wish I had known about the inherent cruelty involved in intensive factory farms and other industries that don’t recognise animals as sentient beings,” he stated “I am therefore committed to phasing out such cruel practices; This will ensure that all animals are protected under the law, regardless of the industry.”
Gregory’s compassion extends to nature and humans which is evidenced by his volunteering for Orange Sky Australia. (an organisation that provides services such as free laundry, showers, and conversations for people experiencing homelessness) and is driven to protect the natural environment and to support wildlife carers.
Once elected, Gregory will call for the removal of exemptions that allow the cruel treatment of all animals used for testing, hunting, human entertainment and farming. He will also call for a review of the Environmental Offsets Act 2014 to include the welfare of animals by mandating that suitable homes be available prior to developers destroying crucial habitat and work towards introducing animal-friendly accommodation, refuges, and crisis centres.
